Bing Webmaster Tools is Bing’s counterpart to Google Search Console: a place to add your site, verify you own it, and see how Bing understands your pages. It matters beyond Bing.com, because Bing’s index also sits underneath Microsoft Copilot, Yahoo in most markets, and much of DuckDuckGo.
You can connect it inside RR Daily Authority. Once connected we submit your sitemap to Bing and read your Bing clicks and impressions back into the dashboard. You still add and verify the site in Bing’s own tools first, which takes a minute and can import straight from Google Search Console.
Why Bing still matters
Fewer people type into Bing.com than into Google. The reach of Bing’s index is much wider. Copilot grounds its web answers in Bing, Yahoo results in most markets are powered by Bing, and DuckDuckGo says it largely sources traditional links from Bing. Read about the engines that read Bing’s index.
What happens when a page publishes
Authority sends an IndexNow notification, which reaches Bing together with Yandex, Naver, Seznam, and Yep, whether or not Bing Webmaster Tools is connected. When it is connected, your sitemap is resubmitted to Bing as well. That is discovery, not a ranking.
AI Performance in Bing Webmaster Tools
Bing Webmaster Tools reports how often your pages are cited as sources in Microsoft Copilot and in AI-generated summaries on Bing, with the pages that were cited and sample grounding queries. It lives in Bing’s own dashboard. Read it the same honest way you read everything else: clues, not trophies.
What you do in Bing’s own tools
Add the site and prove you own it. Bing can import sites you have already verified in Google Search Console, and it accepts DNS verification on your own domain. On a Review Revolution hosted address, paste Bing’s meta tag into the verification card in Authority. After that, connect it in Authority and we handle the sitemap.
How this relates to Google Search Console
Both are connected inside Authority. Google Search Console powers the Google side of the search metrics you see in the product, and Bing powers the Bing side. One difference worth knowing: Bing does not report an average position for your site overall, so that number appears for Google only. The public pages are the same either way. Do not write a Google version and a Bing version of the same guide.
What we will not promise
We will not promise Bing rankings, Copilot mentions, or a volume of traffic. We will keep publishing useful pages and telling Bing when they change.
